When Dee needed a narrowboat cleared at Roydon Marina, she booked us for fast waste removal. The load included four full camping toilets, around 25 bags of general household waste, two large framed pictures and a few bags of unwanted items. Our East London team reached the marina, worked out the access and had the boat cleared without fuss.
The Challenge
Clearing a narrowboat is never quite like a normal property. The mooring sits at the first boat as you enter Roydon Marina from the high street, so the van had to turn at the entrance and reverse back around 10 to 20 yards to reach it. Everything then had to be carried off the boat and along the bank to the van. The four camping toilets were heavy and still full, so they needed careful handling to move them safely without any spills.

The Process
- Reversed the van into position from the high street entrance
- Confirmed the items with Dee on the boat
- Carefully lifted the four full camping toilets off the boat without spills
- Carried the 25 bags of waste and framed pictures along the bank to the van
- Loaded the remaining bags of unwanted items
- Took the load to our licensed facility, recycling and disposing of it correctly
The Result
We had the narrowboat cleared in around an hour, despite the tricky mooring access. The general waste was handled through our bagged waste removal and recycling process, and the heavy camping toilets were disposed of safely and correctly. Pricing was agreed upfront, with no hidden costs.
