When Annie needed her basement flat in Putney cleared, she booked us for a full furniture clearance in Putney. A king-size bed and mattress, an L-shaped sofa, a glass dining table with chairs, a sideboard, side tables, mirrors and boxes of household items all needed to go from the lower-ground flat. Our South London clearance service covers exactly this, and with a wide street outside for the van, access was manageable.
The Challenge
The flat was at lower-ground level, so everything had to be carried up to street level by hand, including a heavy king-size divan and a large L-shaped sofa that needed angling carefully through the basement hallway. The mix ranged from bulky furniture to fragile mirrors and boxes of crockery, so the load had to be handled and stacked with care. The wide street outside gave us room to park close and keep the carry as short as possible.

- Wrapped the mirrors and loaded the boxes and smaller items
- Took the load to our licensed facility, reusing and recycling where possible
After the Clearance
The Result
We had the basement flat fully cleared in around two hours, ready for the next tenant. We carry out regular furniture removal in Wandsworth, with usable pieces set aside for reuse and the rest sorted for recycling. Pricing was agreed before we started, with no hidden costs.
